وَمِنۡ حَيۡثُ خَرَجۡتَ فَوَلِّ وَجۡهَكَ شَطۡرَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِۚ وَحَيۡثُ مَا كُنتُمۡ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ شَطۡرَهُۥ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ حُجَّةٌ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ فَلَا تَخۡشَوۡهُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡنِي وَلِأُتِمَّ نِعۡمَتِي عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ
And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Ḥarām. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it in order that the people will not have any argument against you, except for those of them who commit wrong; so fear them not but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided,

Al-Mukhtasar
Wherever you leave from, O Prophet, when you want to pray, turn towards the direction of the Sacred Mosque; wherever you may be, O believers, turn your faces towards it if you want to pray. This is so that people have no argument or proof to use against you, except those who are unjust from amongst them; they will remain stubborn, arguing against you with the weakest of arguments. Do not fear them, but rather fear your Lord alone, following His commands and avoiding what He has prohibited. Allah prescribed you to face the Kaaba to perfect His blessings upon you, distinguishing you from all other nations and guiding you to the most honorable direction of prayer for people.
