وَإِذَا لَقُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعۡضُهُمۡ إِلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ قَالُوٓاْ أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم بِمَا فَتَحَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لِيُحَآجُّوكُم بِهِۦ عِندَ رَبِّكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We have believed"; but when they are alone with one another, they say, "Do you talk to them about what Allāh has revealed to you so they can argue with you about it before your Lord?" Then will you not reason?

Al-Mukhtasar
One of the contradictions of the Jews and their deviousness would occur when some of them would meet believers and confess the truth of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the validity of his message, which is what the Torah testifies to. But when the Jews were alone with one another, they would blame each other because of these confessions because the Muslims would establish their confessions as evidence against them and the truth of the prophethood.
