وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ لَا تَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ إِحۡسَانٗا وَذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَقُولُواْ لِلنَّاسِ حُسۡنٗا وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنكُمۡ وَأَنتُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ
And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allāh; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakāh." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.

Al-Mukhtasar
Remember, O Israelites, the firm covenant that We took from you: to worship Him alone, and not worship anyone with Him; to be kind to parents, relatives, orphans, and the needy and destitute; to say kind words to people, telling them to do what is right and forbidding evil, without harshness or coercion; to perform the prayer completely as instructed; to give Zakat to its rightful recipients with a contentful heart. But after you took this promise, you turned away from fulfilling it except for some of you whom Allah protected, and they fulfilled their promise and covenant to Allah.
