وَقَالُواْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢۚ بَل لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَقَلِيلٗا مَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
And they said, "Our hearts are wrapped."33 But, [in fact], Allāh has cursed them for their disbelief, so little is it that they believe.

Al-Mukhtasar
The Jews' evidence for not following Muhammad was their saying: Our hearts are covered such that nothing you say reaches them, and they do not understand. However, the matter is not as they claim. Rather, Allah has expelled them from His mercy due to their disbelief, so only a few of them believe in what Allah has sent to the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
