وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ بِٱلۡعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعۡدَهُۥۚ وَإِنَّ يَوۡمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلۡفِ سَنَةٖ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allāh will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.

Al-Mukhtasar
O Messenger, the disbelievers amongst your people hastened to seek immediate punishment in this world and deferred punishment in the Hereafter when they were warned of them [coming]. Allah will never break what he has promised them. Amongst the immediate punishment is what befell them on the day of Badr. And one day of torment in the Hereafter is equivalent to a thousand years of what you count in worldly years due to the suffering it contains.
