Surah Al-Kahf 18:86 الكهف

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغۡرِبَ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغۡرُبُ فِي عَيۡنٍ حَمِئَةٖ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوۡمٗاۖ قُلۡنَا يَٰذَا ٱلۡقَرۡنَيۡنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمۡ حُسۡنٗا
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun [i.e., the west], he found it [as if] setting in a body of dark water,795 and he found near it a people. We [i.e., Allāh] said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."

Al-Mukhtasar
And he walked the earth until he reached the end of the land towards the sunset, in the eye of the beholder. He saw it as though it was setting in a hot spring of black mud. And he found a community of disbelievers near the setting place of the sun. We said to him, by way of giving discretion: O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you torment these people with killing or other means, or you be good to them.
