يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمۡۖ قُلۡ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ وَمَا عَلَّمۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ فَكُلُواْ مِمَّآ أَمۡسَكۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهِۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
They ask you, [O Muḥammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals243 which you train as Allāh has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allāh upon it, and fear Allāh." Indeed, Allāh is swift in account.

Al-Mukhtasar
After mentioning what He prohibited to eat, Allah mentions what He has permitted the consumption of, stating:
Your Companions ask you: O Messenger, what has Allah allowed them to eat? Say, O Messenger: Allah has permitted all pure food, and also what was caught by your hunting animals, those that have canine teeth like dogs and cheetahs, and those that have talons like birds of prey. You trained them to hunt as Allah blessed you with knowledge on how to do that, such that they obey when ordered and leave what they are told to leave. So, eat what they catch when hunting for you, even if they kill it, and mention the name of Allah upon releasing [the hunting animal]. Be fearful of Allah by fulfilling His commands and abstaining from His prohibitions. Indeed, Allah is swift to account for your deeds.
