وَمَن يَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرۡهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
And whoever invokes besides Allāh another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

Al-Mukhtasar
Whoever calls upon another god besides Allah for which he has no proof for worship (and this is the case with every god besides Allah), the recompense of his bad action is with his Lord (may He be Exalted), as He is the One who will hold him to account by punishing him. The disbelievers will not attain what they desire or be saved from what they fear.
