وَقَالُوٓاْ إِن نَّتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفۡ مِنۡ أَرۡضِنَآۚ أَوَلَمۡ نُمَكِّن لَّهُمۡ حَرَمًا ءَامِنٗا يُجۡبَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِ ثَمَرَٰتُ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ رِّزۡقٗا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
And they [i.e., the Quraysh] say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept1113 from our land." Have We not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

Al-Mukhtasar
The polytheists of Mecca excuse themselves from following Islam and believing in it by saying: If we follow this Islam that you have brought, our enemies will immediately strip us of our land.Did we not make a sanctuary for these polytheists where spilling blood and oppression is forbidden? Did we not keep them safe from others invading them and send them all types of fruits as sustenance from Us?! However, most of them are unaware of Allah's blessings upon them and do not thank Him.
