وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيّٖ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٞ فَمَا وَهَنُواْ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُواْ وَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
And how many a prophet [fought in battle and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allāh, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allāh loves the steadfast.

Al-Mukhtasar
How many a prophet among the prophets of Allah fought while a larger number of followers accompanied him? They did not cower from fighting due to what befell them of death and injuries in the path of Allah. They did not weaken from fighting the enemy or surrender to him. Rather, they were patient and steadfast. Allah loves those who are patient upon hardships and adversities in His path.
