وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفۡسٍ أَن تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ كِتَٰبٗا مُّؤَجَّلٗاۗ وَمَن يُرِدۡ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا نُؤۡتِهِۦ مِنۡهَا وَمَن يُرِدۡ ثَوَابَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ نُؤۡتِهِۦ مِنۡهَاۚ وَسَنَجۡزِي ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allāh at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world - We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter - We will give him thereof. And We will reward the grateful.

Al-Mukhtasar
Not a soul dies except by the Divine Decree of Allah after the time Allah has written for them ends. He has fixed a time that cannot be increased or decreased. Whoever intends worldly gain through his actions, He will grant him in accordance to whatever has been decreed for him of [worldly gain]. There will be no share for him in the Afterlife. Whoever intends by his actions the recompense of Allah in the Afterlife, He will grant its reward. Moreover, He will greatly reward those who are grateful to their Lord.
