فَإِنۡ حَآجُّوكَ فَقُلۡ أَسۡلَمۡتُ وَجۡهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِۗ وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ ءَأَسۡلَمۡتُمۡۚ فَإِنۡ أَسۡلَمُواْ فَقَدِ ٱهۡتَدَواْۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَلَٰغُۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
So if they argue with you, say, "I have submitted myself to Allāh [in Islām], and [so have] those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture and [to] the unlearned,119 "Have you submitted yourselves?" And if they submit [in Islām], they are rightly guided; but if they turn away - then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. And Allāh is Seeing of [His] servants.

Al-Mukhtasar
If they argue with you, O Messenger, about the truth revealed to you, then say to them: I and the believers who follow me have submitted to Allah. Then, O Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, say to the People of the Book and the polytheists: Do you submit to Allah sincerely, following what I have brought? If they submit to Allah and follow your sacred law, they are on the path of guidance. But, on the other hand, if they turn away from Islam, then you only have to convey your message to them; then their affair is with Allah. He watches over His slaves and will recompense them accordingly for their deeds.
