فَنَادَتۡهُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآئِمٞ يُصَلِّي فِي ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحۡيَىٰ مُصَدِّقَۢا بِكَلِمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَسَيِّدٗا وَحَصُورٗا وَنَبِيّٗا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allāh gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word123 from Allāh and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous."

Al-Mukhtasar
The angels called out to him while he stood in prayer in his place of worship, saying: Allah gives you good news of a child to be born to you whose name will be John. He will confirm a word from Allah – which refers to Jesus, son of Mary, as Allah uniquely created him with a word from Him. This child will lead his people in knowledge and worship. He will be innocent, avoiding desires, including approaching women. He will dedicate himself to worshipping His Lord and be a prophet among righteous people.
