قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ تَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجٗا وَأَنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءُۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ
Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert from the way of Allāh those who believe, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]? And Allāh is not unaware of what you do."

Al-Mukhtasar
Say, O Prophet: "O People of the Book among the Jews and Christians, why do you deter from the religion of Allah he who believes among the people; seeking to pose in the religion of Allah as a means of diversion from truth to falsehood; and to pose as a means of deviation from guidance for its people. All the while, you are witnesses to the fact that this religion is the truth and a confirmation of what is in your own scriptures. Allah is not unaware of what you commit of Disbelief in Him and posing as an obstruction from His path. He will recompense you for it."
