Surah An-Nahl 16:118 النحل

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمۡنَا مَا قَصَصۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَمَا ظَلَمۡنَٰهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ
And to those who are Jews We have prohibited that which We related to you before.718 And We did not wrong them [thereby], but they were wronging themselves.

Al-Mukhtasar
Upon mentioning the foods He has forbidden for this nation, Allah mentions what He forbade for the Jews, stating:
We had made unlawful for the Jews what We had told you about in verse 146 of Surah Al-An'am. We did not wrong them by making that unlawful, but they wronged themselves when they committed those deeds that caused Allah's punishment to come. We thus recompensed them for their transgression, and We made that unlawful for them as a punishment upon them.
