۞ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا عَبۡدٗا مَّمۡلُوكٗا لَّا يَقۡدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ وَمَن رَّزَقۡنَٰهُ مِنَّا رِزۡقًا حَسَنٗا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنۡهُ سِرّٗا وَجَهۡرًاۖ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوُۥنَۚ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
Allāh presents an example: a slave [who is] owned and unable to do a thing and he to whom We have provided from Us good provision, so he spends from it secretly and publicly. Can they be equal? Praise to Allāh! But most of them do not know.

Al-Mukhtasar
Allah (may He be Exalted) presents an example to refute the polytheists: A bonded slave that is unable to do anything and who has nothing to spend compared to a free person to whom We have given lawful wealth that he uses as he wills and spends from it secretly and openly as he wills. These two men are not equal. How, then, do you make Allah, Who is the Owner of everything, who does what He wills in His dominion, similar to those powerless idols? Praise be to Allah, Who is deserving of all praise. However, most polytheists do not recognize Allah's Oneness in His divinity and that He deserves to be worshipped alone.
