وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمۡ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمۡ وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ ءَاذَانَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلۡقَ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ وَلِيّٗا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ خَسِرَ خُسۡرَانٗا مُّبِينٗا
And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allāh." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allāh has certainly sustained a clear loss.

Al-Mukhtasar
[The Devil said]: I will obstruct them from Your straight path and give them hopes with false promises that will beautify their misguidance. I will order them [to invent customs in dedication to false idols], like cutting the ears of cattle to forbid what Allah has made lawful. I will command them to alter Allah's creation and its natural disposition. Whoever takes him as an ally, entrusting and obeying him, has suffered a manifest loss through loyalty to the Devil, the accursed.
