وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمۡ وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لَا تَعۡدُواْ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ وَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظٗا
And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly"; and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath"; and We took from them a solemn covenant.

Al-Mukhtasar
To take a solemn pledge from them, frighten them, and make them carry out its stipulations, We raised the mountain over them and said to them: Enter the gate of Jerusalem prostrating by bowing your heads. However, they entered by dragging their behinds on the floor. We also told them: Do not disobey me by fishing on the Sabbath. Despite this, they rebelled and did what We commanded them not to do. We took a firm and solemn pledge from them regarding this, but they broke it.
