وَٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ وَيَدۡرَءُونَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عُقۡبَى ٱلدَّارِ
And those who are patient, seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of their Lord, and establish prayer and spend from what We have provided for them secretly and publicly and prevent evil with good - those will have the good consequence of [this] home638 -

Al-Mukhtasar
They remained steadfast in obeying Allah and in what Allah decreed upon them of hardship and ease. And they remained firm in refraining from sinning against Him, thus seeking His pleasure. They kept up the prayer perfectly, discharged their obligations from the wealth that We gave them, and willingly gave from that wealth, secretly to avoid ostentation and openly so that others could follow their example. They repel the evil of those who harm them by doing good to them. These people with these qualities will have a praiseworthy outcome on the Day of Judgment.
