يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ وَإِخۡوَٰنَكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ إِنِ ٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ عَلَى ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمۡ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

Al-Mukhtasar
O you who believe in Allah and follow what His Messenger brought, do not take your fathers and brothers in bloodlines and others from your kinship a close and trustworthy friend allying with them. Likewise, by divulging the secrets of the believers to them and consulting with them if they prefer disbelief over faith in Allah alone. Whoever makes them allies while they remain in disbelief and shows them affection has disobeyed Allah and oppressed himself by placing himself in a doom situation because of disobedience.
