وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
And among them is he who says, "Permit me [to remain at home] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen.484 And indeed, Hell will encompass the disbelievers.

Al-Mukhtasar
Among the hypocrites is the one who brings various excuses, saying: O Messenger of Allah, allow me to forsake striving [in battle against the disbelievers] and do not press me to depart with you so that I would not fall into sin due to the tribulation of the women of the enemy, the Romans, when I witness them. Have they not fallen into a tribulation greater than what they claimed: the tribulation of hypocrisy and forsaking? Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection, Hell will surely surround the disbelievers, none of them eluding it, nor will they find an escape from it.
