وَمِنۡهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡذُونَ ٱلنَّبِيَّ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ أُذُنٞۚ قُلۡ أُذُنُ خَيۡرٖ لَّكُمۡ يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَيُؤۡمِنُ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡذُونَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
And among them are those who abuse the Prophet and say, "He is an ear."488 Say, "[It is] an ear of goodness for you that believes in Allāh and believes the believers and [is] a mercy to those who believe among you." And those who abuse the Messenger of Allāh - for them is a painful punishment.

Al-Mukhtasar
Among the hypocrites are those who hurt Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم through their words, so they say when they witness his kindness صلى الله عليه وسلم -: he hears from everyone and believes him, and does not distinguish between truth and falsehood. Say to them, O Messenger, the Messenger only hears the good. Also, he believes in Allah and what the true believers tell him and shows mercy to them. His mission is mercy for those who believe in him, and those who harm him صلى الله عليه وسلم with any harm will have a painful torment.
