يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدۡ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلۡكُفۡرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعۡدَ إِسۡلَٰمِهِمۡ وَهَمُّواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يَنَالُواْۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوٓاْ إِلَّآ أَنۡ أَغۡنَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦۚ فَإِن يَتُوبُواْ يَكُ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۡۖ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوۡاْ يُعَذِّبۡهُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَمَا لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٖ
They swear by Allāh that they did not say [anything against the Prophet (ﷺ)] while they had said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their [pretense of] Islām and planned that which they were not to attain.493 And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allāh and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty.494 So if they repent, it is better for them; but if they turn away, Allāh will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And there will not be for them on earth any protector or helper.

Al-Mukhtasar
The hypocrites swear a false oath by Allah that they did not say what you were told about them, which is insulting you and faulting your religion. Yet they have said what has been reported to you about them, of what makes them unbelievers, and they have shown disbelief after they have shown faith. They had intended to assassinate the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, but with what they could not achieve it. Moreover, they did not deny anything except something that cannot be denied: Allah favored them by enriching them from the spoils that He bestowed upon His Prophet. If they repent to Allah from their hypocrisy, then their repentance [from their hypocrisy] will be better for them than staying on it. Yet if they turn away from repentance to Allah, He will torture them with a painful torment [in this world] by killing and capturing. Furthermore, He will torture them with a painful torment in the Hereafter by the Fire. They will have no guardian to take care of them and save them from the torment and no helper to avert the torment from them.
