And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Qur’ān and speak noisily1391 during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome."

Al-Mukhtasar
When the disbelievers cannot refute the evidence, they urge one another [by saying]: Do not listen to this Quran that Muhammad recites to you, and do not submit to it. Rather, shout and raise your voices when he recites it to you so that perhaps he stops reciting it and calling to it so that you can gain the upper hand over him, and we can have a break from him.
