مُهۡطِعِينَ مُقۡنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمۡ لَا يَرۡتَدُّ إِلَيۡهِمۡ طَرۡفُهُمۡۖ وَأَفۡـِٔدَتُهُمۡ هَوَآءٞ
Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them,663 and their hearts are void.

- 663 This is their state at the time of resurrection from the graves. Their heads are upraised in fixed stares of terror, unable even to glance back.

Al-Mukhtasar
When people rise from their graves, hurrying towards the caller, their heads raised and anxiously gazing at the sky. Their gaze does not return to them but remains fixed because of the horror they witness. Their hearts are void and are unable to comprehend, and they have no sense of understanding due to the terror they witness.
