وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمۡ فَنَسُواْ حَظّٗا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَأَغۡرَيۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمُ ٱلۡعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ وَسَوۡفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ
And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded.249 So We caused among them250 animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allāh is going to inform them about what they used to do.

Al-Mukhtasar
Just as We took a firm binding covenant from the Jews, We also did so from those who claim to follow Jesus (peace be upon him). However, they did not follow through with everything they were instructed to do, just like their predecessors, the Jews. So, We placed enmity and intense hatred between them until the Day of Resurrection, causing them to fight and kill each other, with each side declaring the other disbelievers. Allah will inform them about what they used to do and recompense them for that.
