يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمۡ تَفَسَّحُواْ فِي ٱلۡمَجَٰلِسِ فَٱفۡسَحُواْ يَفۡسَحِ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡۖ وَإِذَا قِيلَ ٱنشُزُواْ فَٱنشُزُواْ يَرۡفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ دَرَجَٰتٖۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ
O you who have believed, when you are told, "Space yourselves" in assemblies, then make space; Allāh will make space for you.1645 And when you are told, "Arise,"1646 then arise; Allāh will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allāh is Aware of what you do.

Al-Mukhtasar
After mentioning the etiquette of speaking, Allah specifies the etiquette of gatherings, stating:
O you who believe in Allah and act by what He legislated for them, if it is said to you: make space in a seated gathering, and they make space in them, Allah will make space for you in life in this world and the Afterlife. And if it is said to you: rise from some of the seats so that the people of virtue may sit in them and they rise from them, Allah (may He be Exalted) will raise those who believed amongst you and those who were given knowledge in tremendous degrees. And Allah is Well-Informed of what you do. Nothing of your actions is hidden from Him, and He will recompense you [based] upon them.
