Surah Al-Mumtahanah 60:12 الممتحنة

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ يُبَايِعۡنَكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن لَّا يُشۡرِكۡنَ بِٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يَسۡرِقۡنَ وَلَا يَزۡنِينَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلۡنَ أَوۡلَٰدَهُنَّ وَلَا يَأۡتِينَ بِبُهۡتَٰنٖ يَفۡتَرِينَهُۥ بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِنَّ وَأَرۡجُلِهِنَّ وَلَا يَعۡصِينَكَ فِي مَعۡرُوفٖ فَبَايِعۡهُنَّ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُنَّ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allāh, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs,1679 nor will they disobey you in what is right - then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

- 1679 This is an allusion to pregnancy and childbirth, i.e., to falsely attribute a child (whether adopted or born of adultery) to a woman's husband.

Al-Mukhtasar
O Prophet, if the believing women come to you giving you their pledge, such as what occurred in the conquest of Mecca, that they would not associate anything as partners with Allah, but rather worship Him alone, and [pledge] that they would not steal, commit zina (unlawful sexual intercourse), kill their children following the custom of the people of the Age of Ignorance, ascribe their children from zina to their husbands, disobey you in what is proper, such as his prohibition from wailing, shaving, and tearing clothes [all in anguish of a death], then exchange the pledge with them and ask Allah for the forgiveness of their sins after pledging to you. Indeed, Allah is forgiving to those who repent from His slaves; merciful to them.
