Surah Al-Munafiqun 63:4 المنافقون

۞ وَإِذَا رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ تُعۡجِبُكَ أَجۡسَامُهُمۡۖ وَإِن يَقُولُواْ تَسۡمَعۡ لِقَوۡلِهِمۡۖ كَأَنَّهُمۡ خُشُبٞ مُّسَنَّدَةٞۖ يَحۡسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيۡحَةٍ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ هُمُ ٱلۡعَدُوُّ فَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up1690 - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allāh destroy them; how are they deluded?

Al-Mukhtasar
And if you see them, O observer, their states and appearances impress you because of the beauty and delight they possess. If they speak, you listen to their speech due to the eloquence it has. In your gathering, O Messenger, it is as if they are propped logs, not understanding or grasping anything. They think every voice is targeting them due to the cowardice within them. They are truly the enemy, so take caution of them, O Messenger, that they spread your secrets or plot a scheme against you. Allah cursed them. How do they turn from faith with the clarity of its evidence and clearness of its proofs?!
