وَأَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهۡتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنّٞ وَلَّىٰ مُدۡبِرٗا وَلَمۡ يُعَقِّبۡۚ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَقۡبِلۡ وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓمِنِينَ
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return.1101 [Allāh said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.

Al-Mukhtasar
[Allah said]: Throw down your staff. So, Moses did as he was commanded. Then, when he saw it move and slither like a snake, he turned and fled, frightened. He did not return until His Lord called out: O Moses, come back and do not be afraid of it. You are from those who are safe from it and the other things you may fear.
