إِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ لَا يَسۡمَعُواْ دُعَآءَكُمۡ وَلَوۡ سَمِعُواْ مَا ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لَكُمۡۖ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِشِرۡكِكُمۡۚ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثۡلُ خَبِيرٖ

If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association.¹²⁴⁷ And none can inform you like [one] Aware [of all matters].

Al-Mukhtasar

If you call your gods, they cannot hear your call because they are inanimate objects with no life and cannot hear. And even if they could listen to you calling them, they would not be able to respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disassociate themselves from your idolatry and your worshipping them. O Messenger, nobody can inform you more truthfully than Allah.
