أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ فَأۡتُواْ بِسُورَةٖ مِّثۡلِهِۦ وَٱدۡعُواْ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
Or do they say [about the Prophet (ﷺ)], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a sūrah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allāh, if you should be truthful."

Al-Mukhtasar
Or do these polytheists say that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم made up the Quran himself and then attributed it to Allah? O Messenger, say to them: If I, as a human being like you, have made it up, then bring a chapter like it and invite whoever you can to assist you if you are telling the truth in claiming that the Quran is a made-up lie. However, you will not be able to do so. Your inability, even though you are masters of the Arabic language and eloquent in it, proves that Allah has revealed the Quran.
