وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عُزَيۡرٌ ٱبۡنُ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ ٱللَّهِۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوۡلُهُم بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡۖ يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ قَوۡلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ
The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allāh"; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allāh." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before [them]. May Allāh destroy them; how are they deluded?

Al-Mukhtasar
The Jews associated partners with Allah when they claimed that Uzair was the son of Allah. Likewise, the Christians associated partners with Him when they claimed that the Messiah Jesus was the son of Allah. That saying that they fabricated, they spoke with their mouths without establishing proof of it. They are similar in this saying to the polytheists saying before them who said: The angels are the daughters of Allah. Allah is Transcendent and far beyond that. May Allah destroy them. How do they turn away from the straightforward truth to falsehood?!
