۞ إِذۡ تُصۡعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلۡوُۥنَ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٖ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ فِيٓ أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ فَأَثَٰبَكُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمّٖ لِّكَيۡلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَآ أَصَٰبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
[Remember] when you [fled and] climbed [the mountain] without looking aside at anyone while the Messenger was calling you from behind. So Allāh repaid you with distress upon distress so you would not grieve for that which had escaped you [of victory and spoils of war] or [for] that which had befallen you [of injury and death]. And Allāh is [fully] Aware of what you do.

Al-Mukhtasar
Remember, O believers, when you were driven off through the earth as fugitives on the day of Uḥud. It was due to what befell you of weakheartedness because you went against the command of the Messenger. You could not even look at one another, and the Messenger called you as you turned away while he was between you and the polytheists, saying, "Come to me, slaves of Allah! Come to me, slaves of Allah!" Allah repaid you for this with pain and distress in the form of the victory and spoils of war you forfeited. He followed that up with more pain and distress in the form of rumors circulating between you that the Prophet had died. He brought this down on you for you not to grieve over what you forfeited of victory and spoils, what befell you of death and injuries. And after realizing that the Prophet had not been killed then, each calamity and pain was made easy for you to bear. Allah is well aware of everything you do, and nothing about the condition of your hearts is hidden from Him, nor are the actions of your limbs.
